PDFPrintE-mail

The Paris Summit on the Union for the Mediterranean introduced six project plans, among which are “the characterisation of a joint program of civil protection for disaster deterrence” and “the establishment of a Euro-Mediterranean university and of an Erasmus program for the mobility of Mediterranean students as a whole”.

It is with that aim that the Association’s academic project is positioned.

General Objectives

To design the Euro-Mediterranean Institute of Risk Science, closely related with the upcoming Euro-Mediterranean University. The institute will combine professional trainings and academic courses, contractual researches, while being fully open to the professional world of risk.
Contribute to the conjunction of the Euro-Mediterranean civil protection services, by conceiving trainings with and for them to form highly trained employees in risk and crisis management.

Risk Management Training Charter

PDFPrintE-mail

Proper management of risks requires from officials in charge a complete package of highly trained abilities & expertise that will be introduced as a consistent guideline, to be approved by the European Union, as a Risk Management Training Charter.

This charter will act as a guide in various fields, for the risk managing actors of the public and private sectors, for businesses in teaching efforts, rescue workers, state officials, district cooperatives as well as delegates for preventive measures, healthcare facilities and others.

The Risk management trainings must be involved in the drafting of this institutional document and they must be incorporated fully in the prescription. It’s within this assignment that the Euro-Mediterranean risk society wishes to suggest such a draft, as a way to contribute to the European Risk Management Charter, that will itself be used as a guideline for the training efforts in which its members are committed to, and as a defining label of quality for the trainings themselves.
